Tuesday Hatred: Be Music, Night

I hate Okka Disk’s misconfigured website. I hate Facebook’s horrible privacy policies which get worse by the day.

I hate fatigue and overbrewed tea. I can’t wait to see what jms thinks of that.

  1. I hate the fucking printer outside my office, which bleats a loud ugly bleat after the completion of every single fucking print job. I’m going to kill that thing with my bare hands.

I share ben’s hate of fatigue and overbrewed tea. In a major breach of Weblog protocol, I confess that I make my morning tea in the microwave. Ahmad teabag, cold water, 2:09 minutes: perfect every time, in the way that serviceable mediocrity can be perfect for the everyday.

I further confess(!) that I just remembered that ben was featured in my dream last night! I dreamt I called him on the telephone to invite him to have a drink with me. He accepted, reluctantly. Then I remembered that I don’t live anywhere close to him, so we both awkwardly backtracked.

  3. I take no responsibility for my dream persona. I’m merely reporting the facts.

  5. I’m sorry to hear about your bike, k-sky. That sucks.

    Why so disappeary, Tuesday Hate?

  6. Ugh, having one’s bike stolen is quite hateful. I hope at least that you weren’t stranded somewhere when it happened.

  7. Ack, bike theft!

I hate that it seems to be more prevalent in Silverlake and Echo Park than anywhere else in LA. I once had a bolted-on front wheel stolen at Sunset & Alvarado while my bike was unattended for under two minutes. It took weeks for the anger and humiliation to subside.

  9. Toops!

Thank you all. I was not stranded, it was stolen right out of my courtyard, where I stupidly left it unlocked. (See how I did that, jms? A little patience.)

For a couple of days I allowed myself to suspect that I locked it somewhere where I was out and then absent-mindedly walked home. Nope.

On the bright side, I didn’t like it. On the dim side, it was borrowed from a friend.

  10. Don’t you just steal one back nowadays?

  11. I hate waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and then remaining awake, against one’s will, for an hour or more. I hate having to make the impossible choice between being kept awake by the heat or being kept awake by the noise my ceiling fan makes.

  12. I hate anything that is left or right aligned and therefore (I need to make this long enough) I hate this and I envy an Adam that can justify everything.
